Dr. Joe Larsen, DMD
Dr. Joseph Larsen grew up in a large family who loved spending time exploring the outdoors throughout the wonderful state of Utah. He grew up in Salt Lake City and was the first born of eight children. Some of his favorite childhood memories are centered on the backpacking trips he experienced. Dr. Larsen was actively involved in the Boy Scouts, earning his Eagle Scout rank and learned leadership skills throughout the process of earning this prestigious level. His love for outdoor adventure has continued with Dr. Larsen into adulthood. He has been able to have his own exciting experiences such as white water rafting as a Scoutmaster surrounded by young men who are looking to him as an example.
When Dr. Larsen was growing up he had many positive experiences with his childhood dentist and orthodontist. Those experiences inspired him to go into dentistry. As a focused and determined student, Dr. Larsen was driven to do his very best and was successful at making the very most of his experience at the renown Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Larsen is married with five children ranging from 8 months to 12 years old. He enjoys being a father, always looking forward to the hugs from his kids when he walks in the door from work.
Spending time with family is his greatest joy. If he is not spending time with all of his children and his wife, Dr. Larsen can be found outside enjoying some fly-fishing or maybe a nice game of golf. He enjoys many hobbies and still makes time to be an active leader in the Boy Scouting program. He has taken up outdoor photography and enjoys capturing wonderful images from hiking and camping trips with is family.
Dr. Jonathan Icely, DMD
Dr Jonathan Icely is loved by all his patients because of the genuine care and compassion he offers them. He knows just what to do to help, even the most anxious patient, feel comfortable and at ease in the dental chair. Known as “Johnny” Dr. Icely carries a wonderful and engaging sense of humor with him wherever he goes. His professional training was completed at A.T. Still University serving in community health programs and engaging in an array of clinical experiences.
Dr. Icely is married and enjoys being called “Daddy” to his three precious daughters. Born and raised right here in Tucson, Arizona he has always wanted to come back here to launch his dental career here. Helping people feel comfortable and calm in any situation has always been a strength for Dr. Icely, which is one of the main reasons he was drawn to dentistry. Promoting confidence is something that matters a lot to Dr. Icely. As a youth he dealt with having been born with a cleft palate he understand the complexities of craniofacial abnormalities. His passion for serving those with these types of needs led him into specialized training and award winning accomplishments. Dr. Icely received special recognition from the Special Care Dentistry Association for his contributions to the BarrowCleft and Craniofacial centers.
Additionally Dr. Icely completed his Masters level certification in the area of Public Health. Dr. Icely has come home to Tucson as a prestigious clinician and top graduate. He distinguishes himself as an expert in the field and continues to learn by attending a pediatric specialty program at the University of Arizona. Even with his schedule filled with work and specialty training Dr. Icely still makes time for what matters most, his young daughters and lovely wife. He enjoys adventurous outdoor adrenaline pumping experiences such as rock climbing or mountain biking. He also enjoys spending time doing some woodworking or just relaxing to watch a good movie with his beautiful wife. In the end being a daddy is the best and he enjoying playing with his daughters or taking them on bike rides. Making his community and church a better place by staying actively involved also matters a lot to Dr. Icely.
