Dr. Joseph M. Larsen, DMD

Dr. Larsen has been practicing in Oro Valley for nearly two decades -- long enough to have treated the same families across multiple generations. He came here after graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and never left, which tells you something about how he feels about this community.

His focus outside of general dentistry is implants. He completed a Fellowship in implantology and places 10 to 15 implants a month, handling both the surgical and restorative sides of treatment so patients aren't shuttled between providers.

What patients tend to mention most, though, isn't his credentials. It's that he explains things clearly, doesn't rush, and is genuinely easy to talk to. That's been true since day one, and it's still what the practice is built around.

Dr. Jyoti Farwaha, DMD

Dr. Farwaha's goal as a dentist is simple: to provide compassionate, exceptional care while helping patients achieve healthy smiles and long-term oral wellness. She is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. She believes that building trust with patients is the foundation of excellent dentistry and strives to help every individual feel at ease while achieving and maintaining lifelong oral health.

Dr. Farwaha earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2011. Her educational journey began with acceptance into a highly competitive seven-year accelerated program through the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and Rutgers University in affiliation with UMDNJ directly from high school. Following dental school, she completed a one-year General Practice Residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania from 2011 to 2012.

Committed to continuing education, Dr. Farwaha regularly attends both online and in-person courses to stay current with advancements in dentistry. She has completed extensive advanced training throughout her career, including becoming FICOI-certified after restoring more than 100 implant cases. She has also provided Invisalign treatment since 2012 and has achieved Diamond Provider status. In addition, she is AAFE-trained in Botox and TMJ/orofacial pain trigger therapy.

Dr. Farwaha has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry since 2007 and has been practicing dentistry since 2012. Her professional career has taken her across the country, beginning in San Francisco, where she practiced from 2012 to 2016. She later spent a year practicing in Nashville while her husband completed fellowship training at Vanderbilt University before ultimately relocating to Tucson.

Outside the office, Dr. Farwaha enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children, one son and two daughters. Originally from the Greater Toronto Area in Canada, she maintains close ties with family and friends on the East Coast. In her free time, she enjoys watching tennis, reading, hiking Sabino Canyon, traveling, trying new recipes and organizing her home.
